We would love for our readers to start thinking hard about their future vegetable crops. Find a seed catalogue and write down what you'd like to be harvesting this summer and fall. Start at asparagus and continue through the literature until zucchini.
If you don't have pea seeds or spinach yet, try and pick them up over the weekend. More than likely, depending on soil moisture (we've just endured a soaking nor'easter), Porter fields will start planting next Tuesday on the driest soil within our jurisdiction, and we will offer instruction to anyone who asks.
